Unlimited Margaritas & Beer Live Music Live & Silent Auctions Delicious Island Cuisine Shopping
On Saturday, November 18, nearly 250 attendees rocked the night away next to the ocean at One Ocean Resort & Spa in Atlantic Beach during Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Florida’s Margarita J’Ville fundraiser event presented by Sauza. Margarita J’Ville featured a delicious island-inspired menu, unlimited margaritas, signature drinks, raffles and live and silent auctions. The band, South City Live, kept attendees grooving on the Verandina – an outside patio decorated with a full tiki bar, an oversized flamingo and tiki torches that had guest feeling as if they stepped out on Duval Street in Key West. Margarita J’Ville was created by former BBBSNEFL CEO, Warren Grymes, in 2004 during his first year as CEO. Grymes, who recently lost a long yet well-fought battle with kidney cancer, continued to host the event, each year into 2010.
Grymes’ widow, Cheryl Grymes took time during the program to thank guests for honoring his legacy, stating, “I know Warren would have been proud to see all of you here and to see what we’ve done with Margarita J’Ville. As you know, this is an event he loved and treasured and I’m so happy to look out and see many of Warren’s closest friends and family here to celebrate and honor all he’s meant to Big Brothers Big Sisters.”
Thanks to the support of event sponsors Sauza, Southern Glazers, FIS Global, Florida Blue, the Jaguars Foundation, Community First Credit Union, Sterling Search & Consulting, the Jacksonville Fraternal Order of Police and event attendees, Margarita J’Ville raised $100,000 that will support the youth mentoring programs of Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Florida.
There are several ways to support Margarita J’Ville through sponsorship opportunities.
